Hi my name is James I was born in the East end of Greenock. I was a boxing coach in the local boxing club and started my own plastering and roofing business at 21 which I ran for 13 years then sadly got caught up in addiction.

Initially I was caught up in addiction myself and thought my life was over. I finally got help from my family and they paid to send me to rehab. 

I successfuly completed the rehab program that lasted 3 months and after that I attended a local 12 Step recovery fellow ship and wanted to start giving a little back. 

I have learned that my experiences of addiction are now an asset in my volunteering role as I help others as they begin their own recovery journey.
